About Tim Fitzharris

Tim Fitzharris began his career in a camouflaged treetop blind 70 feet above the ground photographing nesting great blue herons. He quickly became one of the world's leading nature photographers with his work featured in leading magazines and over 25 books, including "Rocky Mountains" and the popular nature photography handbooks, "Nature Photography" and "Close-up Photography in Nature." Tim is also a columnist for "Popular Photography" magazine. His many awards include the prestigious BG Wildlife Photographer of the Year for first place in the bird behavior category in 2000 and the top prize in the mammal behavior category in 2001. He lives in Sante Fe, New Mexico.
