Corey tries to tell his parents about the elephant, but after investigating and not seeing an elephant- they conclude that he is making the story up so he could stay up later. If Corey is in fact, telling the truth, how would and elephant get into his room? The only way is through the closet. One night, Mother and Dad decided to stay with Corey for the night. Charmayne Brown is a native of Awendaw, S.C, which is on the outskirts of Charleston, S.C. She graduated from the College of Charleston with a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism. Charmayne is also pursuing her Master of Business Administration degree from Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Charmayne knew she wanted to be a writer as a young girl. She has dabbled in poetry and children's books. And she loves them both, but her first love is journalism. She has been a journalist for five years. Charmayne loves meeting people and doing events in her community. Her family and friends though are her biggest fans. They've all inspired her to do her very best in all of her endeavors. Charmayne is a wife and a mother of two boys, but still finds time to write almost daily. The couple's oldest son was a great inspiration for The Elephant Head. The idea developed from an active child's mind. Charmayne loves writing and having published her first book is a great accomplishment.
