About Professor Harald E. Braun

Dr. Harald E. Braun, D.Phil. Oxon. (2001), is Senior Lecturer in European History at the University of Liverpool. His publications on early modern European, especially Spanish, intellectual history, include Juan de Mariana and Early Modern Spanish Political Thought (Ashgate, 2007). Dr. Lisa Vollendorf, Ph.D. University of Pennsylvania (1995), is Dean of the College of Humanities and Arts at San Jose State University in California. She has published two monographs and three edited collections on women's cultural and literary history in early modern Spain and the Ibero-American Atlantic, including The Lives of Women: A New History of Inquisitional Spain (2005).
