Books Info:

When I'm Sixty Four free pdf It's not the years in your life that count, it's the life in your years. Fact: anyone reaching the age of sixty nowadays can look forward to at least two more decades of active life. That's twenty years. The question is, what are you going to do with those twenty or more extra, precious years? Here are a few tips as to how you might spend your time for the next few decades. In this book there are literally thousands of suggestions. I am not saying that you should do them all - that will be impossible - nor even that there is one particular one line of action for you to follow. But hopefully there's something in this huge rag-bag of ideas that might spark you off to a more productive and satisfying last few decades of your life. We are all different. So the general layout of this book is to throw out an idea, toss it around, look at all the ramifications, and come up with a few, hopefully helpful, suggestions. The rest is up to you. Take from this book the bits that suit you, and ignore the rest. Hopefully there'll be enough good bits to compensate for the useless rubbish of the remainder.

About Chris Foote Wood

Chris Foote Wood was born in Prestbury, Cheshire in December 1940, the first of four children of Helen and Stanley Wood from Manchester. The Woods settled in Bury, Lancashire. Chris's youngest sister, the comedienne, writer and comic actor Victoria Wood, has several times been voted the UK's funniest woman. Their late father Stanley was a successful author and playwright. Chris was a scholarship boy at Bury Grammar School, 1950-59. He won an open scholarship to Manchester University, but instead took a BSc honours degree course in civil engineering at King's College, Newcastle upon Tyne, then part of Durham University, 1959-62. Chris completed the course but was not awarded a degree. After various civil engineering jobs, including a spell as bridge engineer on the A1(M) Durham motorway construction, in 1968 Chris set up his own publishing business, Durham Free Press, pioneering local free press newspapers in the UK. He gave up the venture in 1971 and had one further civil engineering job on the A19 Teesside construction for four years, before returning to journalism as a freelance writer and broadcaster. In 1974 Chris set up his own regional press agency, North Press News
