Sen Soshitsu XV is the fifteenth generation Grand Master of the Urasenke School of Japanese Tea. In addition to his many books and writings on tea, he has made more than 250 trips to more than 50 nations around the world in order to promote the Way of Tea and world peace. In recognition of his tireless and lifelong work as a representative fo traditional Japanese culture, he recieved the Oredr of Culture from the emperor in 1997.
