About Peter Truin

Peter Truin runs London's Trad Academy Sea Shanty Choir, and sings in his own sea shanty band, The Ballina Whalers, which has played Glastonbury and the Green Man Festival as well as sessions with Mark Radcliffe on Radio 2 and Fiona Talkington on Radio 3. Peter studied at the Royal Academy of Music, leads music workshops, and has spent several years compiling the musical arrangements of sea shanties and researching maritime culture.
