About Malcolm Cowburn

Malcolm Cowburn is Emeritus Professor of Applied Social Science at Sheffield Hallam University, Honorary Professor of Criminology at Exeter University and Visiting Professor of Criminology at Plymouth University. Prior to working in academia he was a Probation Officer for many years and involved in developing practice with sex offenders. He has published widely in this area. Steve Myers is Director of Social Sciences at the University of Salford, UK. He is a qualified and registered Social Worker and has taught on heath and social care/work programmes for the previous 20 years. He has worked with children and young people who have sexualy abused in statutory and voluntary agencies.
