Shanghai Odyssey PDF ePub eBook

Books Info:

Shanghai Odyssey free pdf Celebrated photographer Homer Sykes, a first-time visitor to the newly booming Shanghai, here goes in search of traces of his parents' brief sojourn in the city, cut short by tragedy half a century ago. Connecting with those optimistically facing a future full of possibilities and those who have experienced more in one lifetime than seems humanly possible, he achieves a subtle chemistry between photo-journalism and fine art. The photographs, both intimate and industrial, are accompanied by perceptive captions and a lively chronology of historical events.
