In addition to writing and collecting, Ms. Karl enjoys flying with her husband in their twin-engine Cessna 310. They currently reside in Seymour, Tennessee, with their two children, Mathew and Angela, who have already started their own collections of Pez dispensers, magic wands, and Beanie Babies.
