About Debra Glenn

Debra was born on July 12th of 1955. She was a typical little girl, pretty, sweet, curious, mischievous and happy. She was raised in a loving environment with her parents, siblings and doting grandparents simply enjoying being a child. Those who were blessed to call her family or friend delighted in her precious disposition and precocious nature. Sadly even in the most ideal settings things can be turn upside down in the blink of an eye. In her mid-teens she wed and soon realized there was a sinister world beyond that which she had been raised to know. In abusive relationships the victims are held captive living in constant fear and mental torment. Her once happy life was thrust into a world of ugliness, abuse, anger and addiction. The fairy tale life she had dreamed of became a grim corner hidden behind a shroud of darkness, disappointment and despair. Her once shining eyes were soon dimmed and her sweet smile was replaced by sadness unlike any she had ever experienced. For years she desperately searched for peace only to find animosity and seclusion. Her story of redemption and ultimately her survival will touch your heart and hopefully make other victims of similar situations aware of how deeply even the simplest of words can cut and how physical abuse often escalates and could ultimately lead to certain death of its victims. Eventually Debra did find redemption and refused to allow her negative life to rule her. She furthered her stalled education by attending Virgina College in Birmingham, Alabama earning her degree in medical billing and coding a career she still enjoys to this day. Now as a devout Christian Debra is happily married and living a stable and blissful life. Through Christ who delivered her from evil she not only survives but thrives as a giving, caring leader whose testimony and unabridged admissions of her own faults and failures are exposed with raw truth and dealt with as her faith in God remains restored and renewed to this day and forever.
