ANNE ROWE is Reader in English and Director of the Centre of Iris Murdoch Studies at Kingston University, UK. She is Lead Editor of the Iris Murdoch Review and has published widely on Iris Murdoch. Publications include The Visual Arts and the Novels of Iris Murdoch (2002), Iris Murdoch: A Reassessment ed. (2006), Sacred Space, Beloved City: Iris Murdoch's London, co-authored with Cheryl Bove (2009), Iris Murdoch and Morality, co-edited with Avril Horner (2010) and Iris Murdoch: A Literary Life co-authored with Priscilla Martin (2011). AVRIL HORNER is an Emeritus Professor of English at Kingston University, UK. She is the co-author (with Janet Beer) of Edith Wharton: Sex, Satire and the Older Woman and (with Sue Zlosnik) of Daphne du Maurier: Writing, Identity and the Gothic Imagination and Gothic and the Comic Turn. She is also the editor of European Gothic: A Spirited Exchange, 1760-1960.
