D. Douglas Caulkins is emeritus professor of anthropology atGrinnell College and emeritus director of the Donald L. WilsonProgram in Enterprise and Leadership. His research encompassesvoluntary organizations and social capital in Norway,entrepreneurship and regional development in the UK (Wales,Scotland, Northeast England), heritage sites and national identityin the UK and US, and anthropological contributions to managementtheory. He has published in various journals and books andcurrently is engaged in social entrepreneurship and organizationaldevelopment projects.

Ann T. Jordan is professor of anthropology at Universityof North Texas. She is an applied anthropologist specializing inbusiness anthropology, globalization and transnationalorganizations, Saudi Arabia, and North American Indian studies, andis the author of the books Business Anthropology and TheMaking of a Modern Kingdom: Globalization and Change in SaudiArabia.
