About Professor of Renaissance Studies Gordon Campbell

Gordon Campbell is Professor of Renaissance Studies at the University of Leicester. His previous publications include "Renaissance Art and Architecture" (2004), "Bible: The Story of the King James Bible" (2010), and "The Hermit in the Garden: from Imperial Rome to Ornamental Gnome "(2013), as well as many other books on literature, art, history, and biography. He is a fellow of the British Academy and a former chair of the Society for Renaissance Studies, and in 2012 he was awarded the Longman - History Today Trustees Award for a lifetime contribution to History.
