Books Info:

Minority Health in America free pdf In 1994, The Commonwealth Fund commissioned Louis Harris and Associates to conduct a survey of some 3,770 African American, Hispanic, Asian American, and white adults regarding their experiences with health care. Participants were asked to describe their health status and health-related behaviours, their access to and use of health-care services, their attitudes toward the care they received, and related socioeconomic data. The Fund then commissioned experts in minority health, women's health, health care, and health policy to analyze the data, draw policy implications, and make recommendations to improve the health and health care of minority populations. This work presents evidence from this major national survey, providing the documentation needed to assess the successes and failures of our present system and to chart productive directions for the future.
