Professor Karien Jooste (DLitt et Phil, Unisa) is a Professor in the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Johannesburg and her niche area is Leadership in Health Services Management. She has nearly three decades of teaching experience and has served as a Full South African Nursing Council member. She has published several articles in national and international accredited journals, written prescribed books and served on international and national editorial boards of accredited journals. She is also involved with activities and/or committees of the International Council for Nurses and the Chapter Tau Lamda of Sigma Theta Tau International.
