Statistical Methods for Hospital Monitoring with R free pdf

Hospitals are becoming more complex and monitoring is increasing both because staff want their data analysed and because of increasing mandated surveillance. This book is aimed at scientists in hospital departments who are responsible for producing a growing number of reports and who are frequently actively involved in improving safety, but who have fairly limited statistical expertise. However, it is hoped that it will have a wider sphere of interest in the health care quality and safety community. Although some reasonably complex methods are employed (e.g. a Bayesian random-effects model), these are kept to a simple application.
