About Donwald Pressly

Donwald Pressly has covered politics and parliament for 20 years. He started as a political reporter based at the South African Parliament for The Mercury in 1993 and has since been political correspondent for I-Net Bridge and Bureau Chief of Business Report, also stationed at parliament. He now covers the business of government, including interrogation of governments economic policies. Pressly was an honours graduate in journalism and African politics at Rhodes University and a Duke University Menell Media Fellow in 2006, and keeps a keen eye on political and economic policy developments in the ruling party and opposition parties. Pressly is currently chairman of the Cape Town Press Club and co-chairman of the Parliamentary Press Gallery Association. He also writes a weekly column Inside Parliament in Business Report.
