About Deborah O'Brien

Deborah O'Brien, artist, poet, and teacher was born in Dublin. She studied design, fabric printing and silk screen crafts at the National College of Art and Design, and later taught there. She now lives in London Mairead Ashe FitzGerald grew up in County Clare. She is a graduate of NUI Galway and University College Dublin where she studied Archaeology. Mairead taught Irish and History before working in publishing for many years. Being invited by OBP to write books allows her to indulge her passion for research into Ireland's history, archaeology and literature.
