About Gert Thinggard Svendsen

Gert Tinggaard Svendsen is a Danish professor of public policy and has a PhD in Economics and a master's degree in political science. Previously he has worked at the Department of Economics, University of Aarhus, as an assistant professor and associate professor. He is chairman of a project called SoCap (Danish Social Capital Project) helping to fight poverty in developing countries. In addition, he has published numerous international books and articles on social capital, climate policy and lobbying. His newest book explains why trust is essential to the functioning of the national economy.
